You get access to our courses, quizzes, assignments, full PDF handouts, MP3, certificates, progress tracking, discussion groups, our international community of Twi learners… everything.

How do I cancel my membership?

Your membership ceases right after with no further charge on your payment method. You may also send us a cancellation request email and we will cancel your subscription on your behalf, immediately.
What level of proficiency do I need to sign up?
All proficiency levels are welcome. Our courses are structured in a chronological manner from basic to advanced lesson sets. So whatever your current level is, you’ll find value in them.
Do I get to see the other members?
It depends on which membership level you sign up on. The LFC CONNECT ($69) members meet over the Zoom video conferencing program three times every week for live sessions. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet, interact, and practise your listening and speaking skills with other members from all over the world. If you don’t have the time and sign up on the LFC ($19) tier, you can still arrange and hold private meetings with other members using our classroom feature.
What day/time do you meet for the live sessions
What do you do during the live sessions?
Each meeting day comes with a different activity.
- Tuesdays, 1 p.m. GMT – Live Conversational Twi Class
Each week comes with a speaking topic and task. On Tuesdays, members are taken through the speaking topics in a typical classroom format. We use a sample Twi conversation as case study to teach you the important aspects of the respective week’s speaking topic. Every now and then, the host, Tikya Yaw, engages random members in simple conversations, corrects what needs correcting, and answers member questions. Tuesdays’ sessions are intended to give members, irrespective of their proficiency levels, a speaking and listening foundation for onward practice.
- Wednesdays, 1 p.m. GMT – Private Member Speaking Practice
The hour-long Wednesday speaking practice sessions are divided into three sets of 20 minutes each. Members are paired randomly to practise the week’s topic in private breakout rooms. After every 20 minutes, you get reassigned to a different speaking partner. Depending on your speaking partner’s proficiency level, you’ll be jumping between previous speaking topics and the current one. This means by the end of each session, you would’ve practised with up to three different people, and possibly on more than a single speaking topic.
- Fridays, 1 p.m. GMT – Multimedia Friday
On Fridays, members get to put down the textbooks. We watch and discuss the dialogues in Twi movies and shows, listen to and discuss the contents of Twi news and radio interviews, and other such multimedia resources aimed at exposing you to as much natural spoken Twi as possible. You get to appreciate what you learn in actual day-to-day use, which should improve your listening and speaking skills. Multimedia Fridays are recorded so you don’t have to worry if you miss any.
How else can I practise my listening and speaking skills?
The platform presents a unique opportunity to find study/practice partners for private practice sessions. The club is made up of different people, from different parts of the world, and with different proficiency levels. Members are encouraged to take advantage of this diverse community by building healthy relationships from the start, which will go on to foster easy private practice arrangements. Even if you’re on the $19 tier, you can still arrange to meet as many people as you want on a daily or weekly basis. Some current members already meet privately every week. It may surprise you how much you can learn from other members, irrespective of their levels of proficiency.
What do I need to join the weekly live sessions?
Do you offer one-on-one sessions?
Unfortunately, I do not offer one-on-one sessions at the moment.
When and how do I receive a certificate?
You get a certificate for every course level you complete. The certificates are generated automatically with your name and date of completion on them. They come in PDF format and can be downloaded, printed, framed, hanged, and/or viewed on your devices. Feel proud and share them with your friends and family.
Disclaimer on our certificates?
An LFC certificate is just something tangible that you receive at the end of a course level to demonstrate your accomplishment, and to encourage you on. Please note that LFC is not an accredited institution and, as such, our certificates cannot, and should not, be used for any formal engagement. They should be seen just like a certificate from Udemy, for example.
Any money-back guarantee?
Certainly! We have a 14-day full money-back guarantee. If you wish to cancel your membership up to two weeks after joining, for any reason at all, just send us a refund request email and you will receive a full refund of the month’s fee. No questions asked.
How do I get Twi keyboard installed on my PC?
Click here to download a zipped version of the Twi keyboard I use.
Once downloaded, right-click on the file and click on extract files. If you don’t find the option to extract, you would have to download and install a free program called WinRar. You will find that here: https://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0
After extracting the zip file, you’ll find a folder with the name TWI KEYBOARD. Open that and double-click the setup.exe file. You can then follow through the instructions to install the keyboard.
After installing, you can switch between your regular keyboard and the Twi one. How you do this may be different on your computer, but I am able to do so by clicking on the Windows key and, while still holding it down, click on the space bar (Windows key + Space bar). If this doesn’t work for you, you may have to go into your computer’s control panel, and add the Twi keyboard under the Regional settings.

How do I get Twi keyboard installed on my iPhone?
Unfortunately, the only Twi keyboard available in the App store at the moment is a paid one. I haven’t used it myself because I’m on Android but you can check it out. Search for “Nkyea Keyboard” in the App store.
